Hillary was one of my best friends when I lived in Las Vegas, Nevada . She would always be we there for me, whether it was watching her brother, Tyler, and I play a soccer game, or simply inviting me into her home. Unlike many high-schoolers who would believe it's “uncool” to hang out with siblings, there was almost never a moment she wasn't with them. She treated me like a brother, and my fondest memory of her was when we were making a CD of songs we would listen to on our drive to Arizona for a soccer tournament , and how she told me ‘I had good taste in music.' Along with Hillary, the Lavoie family has always been there since the beginning. During my first year of meeting the Lavoie's, though Coach Brian wasn't my soccer coach, he would always invite me to go to banquets and gatherings for his team and treated me as if I was part of it — if not, better. If I ever need help, or someone to talk to about any matter, the Lavoie family was and always will be there for me. Tyler, Hillary's brother, was approximately my age and was my best friend. He was the last person I saw before I moved to Issaquah, Washington , and it was, of course, him and his family who helped me get over the fact. The Lavoie family has always opened their doors to me, so I think this is a great opportunity to give back to them for all they've done and the influence they've had on my life. I love you and miss you all, Brian, Tina, Ally, Abby, Tyler, and Hillary. Thanks for being the great people you naturally are.
